I served in the Marine Corps from 2017 to 2021 and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. During my time in service I deployed overseas to Japan, Australia and South Korea, most of that time spent on a ship sailing throughout the Pacific. It was an amazing experience to see places I may otherwise would not be able to, do so with some of the best friends I will ever meet and do a lot of cool stuff as well. I was a combat engineer, my job was to build obstacles to delay, stop or re-route enemy forces as well as destroy obstacles that we would have faced. We built them out of barbed wire, logs, dirt and sand and would destroy them using bolt cutters, chainsaws or explosives.
